Woodhouse Farm and Garden CIC
Woodhouse was a small farm in Staffordshire destined to be sold off as it was no longer considered viable but the local community lead by Annamarie and Andrew Stone and Allan Hayes had other plans. Work started replanting the 18th Century walled garden putting fruit trees back against the walls , creating large beds three for veg and a forth for soft fruit. The garden each year has been planted for forty families as per the Soil Association Planting Guide but membership of the CSA has not really got over 25. We are building a small group of volunteers who help us on the farm, a friends group who support the community and social side of the project and are happy to let people get involved.

Additional comments from CSA contact
Our project started life as a farmer led initiative and we were called The Walled Garden at Woodhouse Farm, we were tenants of a Community Group (IPS) who were renting the farm from the Elford Trust. In 2013 the IPS closed and the decision was made to form Woodhouse Farm and Garden CIC to allow our project to continue and take over the tenancy from the IPS.
