Setting up & scaling up a CSA – Two day course – Northern England

An intensive two-day training course for anyone interested in starting a Community Supported Agriculture project

Meanwood Valley Urban Farm

Sugar Well Road

About this event

If you are thinking about, or in the process of setting up a small scale farming business, the CSA model is worth considering. At the CSA Network UK we believe CSA is the best way of getting a small scale farming enterprise off the ground.

Ed Hamer of Chagfood CSA knows all about starting, running and scaling up a CSA. Chagfood has been running for over 10 years now, and has proved the strength of the CSA model.

If you are serious about getting your CSA farming business moving from idea to success, this is a weekend of training you can’t afford to miss. And if you have already established a CSA enterprise but are looking to take it to the next level in terms of membership there’s plenty you can learn here.

The course will build on the first-hand experience Chagfood have gained in establishing their own CSA over the past ten years. It will provide the necessary skills, knowledge and confidence for you to start a CSA in your own community. It will also draw on the experience of Ben and Luke who set up Meanwood Valley CSA two years ago in urban Leeds.

This is the first time we’ve run a course like this in the North of England, will run on the weekend of the 19th and 20th March and the proposed timetable will be:
