Cae Tan is a newly established CSA on the Gower Peninsula South Wales.
Cae Tan CSA in partnership with Gower Power Community Co-op are running a crowd funding campaign to further develop many aspects of their land based work.
Over the past two years the team have transformed 15 acres of damp under utilised sheep grazed field into a diverse educational, social, environmental & local food resource.
The farm has set up a livestock co-op, a vegetable CSA supplying 50 households & a chicken & bee club. They are growing pizza’s with local schools & helping them too set up school food co-ops. Diverse groups of volunteers, members & trainees have come together to make all of this happen.
Giving your support now will help Cae Tan to;
Double the number of households Cae Tan CSA supplies in 2016.
Improve access to our land for youth groups, schools, colleges & disadvantaged groups.
Help further develop livestock shares, improving the sheep & chicken shares, starting a pig share & increasing the size of the orchard.
Raise the profile of the benefits which small scale community growing projects can bring.
Increase biodiversity on the land by planting diverse perennials, more bees, more birds, more wild areas, more vitality & diversity….
