Oakbrook Orchard

Oakbrook Orchard is an experimental agroforestry project growing fruit, flowers and community on the edge of Stroud. Since 2020 we have planted over 150 apple, pear and plum trees on a formerly arable field, which is part of Oakbrook Community Farm. We hold regular volunteer work parties, and occasional seasonal celebrations. So far our beautiful daffodils are the only crop we’ve had available to sell, but give it another couple of years and we hope to be offering seasonal fruit shares to our local community…

When we started the land between the trees was farmed by Stroud Micro Dairy, and grazed by their dairy cows. The land between the tree rows is now managed by Stroud Community Agriculture, who will be growing field scale veg here for their CSA members.
