The Oak Tree Low Carbon Farm
Members of our Community Supported Agriculture scheme enjoy a weekly supply of fresh vegetables, grown without the use of artificial fertilisers or pesticides. They also have the opportunity to buy chickens’ eggs from our free range chickens, as well as the chance to buy cut flowers and soft fruit.
Or scheme is a partnership between farmers and the local community, providing mutual benefits and reconnecting the people to the land where their food is grow.
Our aim is to create a financially viable and environmentally sustainable farm producing a plentiful and diverse supply of nutritious food for the community of people that works on the land, having a good time while doing so.
By teaching and demonstrating how this can be done we hope to encourage others to do the same. We became a not-for-profit social enterprise in 2012 (A Community Interest Company (CIC).
