CORE: Business Planning and Finance

For a CSA to truly succeed, you need a clear vision of what success looks like and a concrete plan to get there. What equipment and infrastructure will you need? How much produce must you grow? How will you budget for wages and contractor fees? Will shares be collected or delivered? Will you have additional income streams? And perhaps most importantly: what happens if things don’t go as planned?
Like any other business, a CSA thrives on careful planning.
This session will guide you through the essential elements of CSA planning, helping you build a solid foundation for long-term viability and growth.
Join Jo Hunt of Knockfarrel Produce and Ed Hamer of Chagfood CSA, who have been instrumental in running successful, well-established CSAs. Learn from their experiences, get practical advice and bring your financial and business planning questions to the table.
BOOK NOW to join individual masterclasses (£12 for CSA Network UK members, £15 for non-members) or a bundle of all six (£60 for members, £75 for non-members).
