Northern Ireland Community Farming Gathering
Date Published: 22nd June 2026
Our Northern Ireland community farming gathering took place on Saturday 9th May at Jubilee Farm in Larne, hosted in partnership between the Landworkers’ Alliance NI and the CSA Network — and what a day it was!
We were delighted to welcome over 20 people on a gloriously sunny day. The highlight for many was getting to meet some new faces, including representatives from Cloughjordan Community Farm who made the journey all the way from Tipperary — a wonderful reminder that the spirit of community farming travels far.
Connecting with other growers in person is always worthwhile. There is real power in sharing stories, the highs and the lows, with people who are working through the same challenges as you. CSAs are still few and far between in Northern Ireland, which makes occasions like this all the more important. Supporting each other is not just nice to have — it’s vital.
If you’re in Northern Ireland and in the early stages of setting up a CSA, please do get in touch — Jo at Laurelbank Farm is the CSA Network board based in NI and would love to hear from you: jo@laurelbankfarm.org
