Date Published: 17th June 2022
If your reason for starting a CSA is to help people’s health then the People’s Health Trust may have some funding to help you.
Here is an explanation of what they fund:
“The People’s Health Trust is a charity addressing health inequalities in England, Scotland and Wales. They work to ensure that where you live does not unfairly reduce the length of your life or the quality of your health.
The People’s Health Trust fund and support work led by communities experiencing disadvantage, which addresses the underlying causes of health inequalities.
Their Active Communities Fund is their open funding programme for community groups, not-for-profit organisations and local people wanting to create fairer places to grow, live, work and age in England, Scotland and Wales.
They fund two types of projects:
Neighbourhood-based projects – resident-led projects in neighbourhoods experiencing disadvantage because they are the most affected by health inequalities.
Communities of Interest – projects which connect groups of people with shared identities or experiences who face additional barriers to good health due to discrimination and further inequality.
The current round of funding is for specific areas of North Yorkshire but it is worth signing up to their mailing list as they update the regions they are funding.”
